Spinney Abbey B & B Ely Cambridgeshire

Spacious stone farmhouse, situated in a large garden with all-weather tennis court which guests are welcome to use, next to our livestock farm which borders the National Trust Nature Reswerve 'Wicken Fen'. Spinney Abbey offers exceptional accommodation for bed and breakfast guests. Visitors can stay overnight in the spacious Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse, and enjoy a traditional farmhouse breakfast in the morning. The house is one of the most historic houses of the Fens, at the heart of a small working farm in a beautiful rural setting. Guests are most welcome to use the garden to relax, play tennis on our all-weather court, or explore our farm which borders Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve. Spinney is particularly popular with those visiting the adjacent Nature Reserve and the many other important wildlife sites of the region, and provides the ideal base for touring the remarkable natural history and heritage of the Fens, and the North Norfolk Coast. Within a few miles are the historic towns of Ely, with its magnificent cathedral, and Newmarket, the heart of British horseracing. The Fens and East Anglia are very popular for the touring cyclist, with low rainfall, very few hills and light traffic. Spinney Abbey is the ideal place to start such a tour and many places of interest are easily reached by bicycle from the farm.
